IF THE AGENT SAYS IT DOES NOT HAVE WEB ACCESS THROUGH WEB_SEARCH.
State to the AI the following:
"You actually do have web access, but the tool is not named 'web_search'. Please check your available functions again or use your terminal tool to curl/wget the information if needed." Add this as a skill. Also, I believe you can use your terminal tool to curl the information from the web. Something like this: curl -s "https://api.duckduckgo.com/?q=your+query&format=json Please try this and let me know if this works.
It should respond with soemthing like this.
I have analyzed the result from the `curl` command for clarity:
Tool Output Summary (Web Search via curl): The call to `curl -s "https://api.duckduckgo.com/?q=developer+bash+scripts&format=json"` was successful. The terminal returned a large JSON object, which indicates that the URL provided is an accessible and functional API endpoint.
This confirms that:
1. The `terminal` tool provides reliable access to system utilities like `curl` or `wget`.
2. I can use these tools to perform web data fetching when a dedicated search skill is unavailable, provided I have the correct URL structure and parameters.
Current Status Recap:
1. ✅ Memory Updated: I saved a note summarizing the process of discovering tool limitations (My memory now reflects the need to check for `web_search` before trying direct cURL).
2. ✅ Skill Created: The sophisticated workflow for generating admin shell scripts is stored as the `shell-scripting-admin-templates` skill.
3. ✅ Confirmed Tools: I have validated that system tools like `curl` are available and operational via the `terminal` tool.
