Set up your proxy to host the website so it is available on the internet.
On your docker server:
Install Couch DB on docker with the following docker-compose file.
Docker-compose.yml file
``` yaml
services:
couchdb-obsidian-livesync:
restart: always
container_name: couchdb-obsidian-livesync
image: 'docker.io/oleduc/docker-obsidian-livesync-couchdb:master'
ports:
- '5984:5984'
environment:
- COUCHDB_DATABASE=obsidian
- COUCHDB_PASSWORD=tw9222dvO91ZHb
- COUCHDB_USER=miker
- SERVER_DOMAIN=https://obsidian.mikemcfetridge.com
volumes:
- ./data:/opt/couchdb/data
```
Once the container starts, you can validate that it is install and running by going to the following link
https://obsidian.mikemcfetridge.com/_utils
Once you verified that the DB is up and running, you will need to log into the container:
```
Docker exec -it {Container name} /bin/bash
```
Run the following command
```
export hostname=https://obsidian.mikemcfetridge.com #Point to your vault
export database=obsidian #Please change as you like
export passphrase=7ixpCPi5OEDF6J #Please change as you like
export username=miker
export password=tw9222dvO91ZHb
deno run -A https://raw.githubusercontent.com/vrtmrz/obsidian-livesync/main/utils/flyio/generate_setupuri.ts
```
This should provide you with an output like below:
Your passphrase of Setup-URI is: small-pine #This passphrase is never shown again, so please note it in a safe place.
